Texas Cichlid (Cichlasoma cyanguttatum) Known as one of the toughest fish, not sensitive to water conditions, usually eats any food offered, can grow up to 12 in. One of the more popular cichlids due to it's beauty and aggressiveness. Angelfish(Pterophyllum scalare var.) Perhaps the most popular freshwater fish, originated in south america. Prefers clean neutral water, temp 74F. Eats live or freeze dried food. Numerous color strains available.
Fancy Goldfish(Carassius auratus) Need clean well aerated water to survive,temp. 50-70F. Usually eat any food offered, but do not overfeed this one. There are many strains available. One of the oldest fish in the hobby.
Frontosa Cichlid(Cyphotilapia frontosa) From Lake Tangyanyika, Africa. Usually peaceful. Hard,alkaline water and temp 76-80F, may reach 12 in. or more in length. One of the more interesting African Cichlids.
